THE invitation cards have been sent out for 1st Sergeant Siti Nurbaidura Mohd Yusof's wedding this Sunday - but she won't be able to make it.
The 22-year-old was buried in a military funeral at the Choa Chu Kang Muslim cemetery in a solemn military funeral on Tuesday.

This was a day after she died on the Pan-Island Expressway.

She lost control of her 125cc motorcycle near the PIE's Bukit Timah Expressway exit at about 12.40pm and landed in a drain.

She was dying by the time paramedics arrived shortly after.

Her fiance, full-time national serviceman Fareed Serlan, who was riding pillion, was flung off as well and suffered head and chest injuries.

When told on Tuesday morning that his wife-to-be had died, he wanted to leave Tan Tock Seng Hospital to attend the funeral.

But Mr Fareed, 20, did go to her flat in Bedok Reservoir Road to bid farewell to the woman who would have been his wife in less than a week.

The couple met in 2005 at Maju Camp along Clementi Road - where they were headed on Monday when the accident happened.

At Sgt Siti's home, her family were trying hard to come to terms with the shock of her death.
